Legend has it, once you have been to Virginia Beach, it will call you back. Well, it’s calling now, to all 1965 graduates of Cox High School and the 60’s alumni. If we did our math right:

Yes, it’s been forty years and we want this reunion to be the best ever! That means, if you haven’t decided to come yet, get on the stick! We need to hear from you. R.S.V.P. today to let us and your friends know, that you will be here on Oct. 24th and Oct. 25th.

The agenda is heavy hors d’oeuvres on Friday night (dress casual) and a buffet on Saturday night with a D.J. (dress - let your conscience be your guide, from casual to formal, if you wish). The place is Virginia Beach Resort and Conference Center on Shore Drive. The price is $100 per person for the two nights. Rooms have been blocked with special rates for our group.

We need to have your money for this event by the end of August. We have made it convenient for you to pay online, using Pay Pal with Visa or MasterCard. If you want to pay by check, please make the check to: “Cox Reunion Committee” and mail it to the alumni address on the “Classmates.com” web site, Cox Reunion Committee, c/o Cliff McWaters, 636 Blossom Arch, Chesapeake, Va. 23320. Classmates.com has added an $8.00 + change fee for using VISA/MC on their website. We will try and see that anyone using the website gets their $8.00 + change back per person at the reunion.

Every effort has been made to contact as many of our classmates as possible. If you know of anyone who has not heard from us, please pass the word. We would hate to hear we missed anyone who would have attended, had they known about the reunion. Give us any leads you can.

We are very excited that some of our faculty will be attending and Mr. Carroll, our principal, will be there. He told us when we called him a couple of reunion committee meetings ago that “I’m still appalled after all these years!” Please come and make this reunion the special event that is deserving of the founding alumni of Cox. Five or six teachers have expressed an interest in also attending the reunion. …….…R.S.V.P. today
